Martin conducting the ceremonies. Mr. Bridgeland was born in Kent, England, Dec. 6, 1826, making him 65 years of age. He came to this country in 1849, and located in Indiana. In 1858 he was married to Ann Cheesman, who with his son William survive him. After his marriage he moved to Illinois where he resided until the spring of 1883 when he moved to Nance County where he has since resided. Mr. Bridgeland was an upright man, honorable in all his dealings, and greatly respected by all with whom he came in contact. The funeral was one of the largest ever held in the county.
