Description	:	Daniel E. Danielson was born March 17, 1873 on a farm in the vicinity of Vermillion, S D., the son of Daniel and Martha Persson Danielson. He passed away at his home at 711 West Willow street, Cherokee, Sunday, July 23, at 10:30 p. m. after a month's illness. He was united in marriage June 21, 1899 to Clara Bell Everett of Vermillion, who preceded him in death on Feb. 22, 1933 at Cherokee. The couple had one daughter. Danielson was born March 17, 1873 on a farm in the vicinity of Vermillion, S D., the son of Daniel and Martha Persson Danielson. He passed away at his home at 711 West Willow street, Cherokee, Sunday, July 23, at 10:30 p. m. after a month's illness. He was united in marriage June 21, 1899 to Clara Bell Everett of Vermillion, who preceded him in death on Feb. 22, 1933 at Cherokee. The couple had one daughter. Miss Marguerite Danielson, now residing in Cherokee. Mr. Danielson had been active in the Independent Order of Oddfellows for 56 years, having held the office of grand master of Oddfellows' of the state of Iowa for 1933-34. He was also a member of the Encampment, a branch of the order, the Canton, and the Rebekaha, as well as the Modern Woodmen of America. In 1906 he moved to Cherokee. He was a salesman for the Headington and Hedenberg wholesalers of Sioux City for 26 years. In 1932 he was named deputy sheriff of this county, an office he held for 15 years. For the past three years he had served as constable for Cherokee township. He leaves to mourn his passing: One daughter, Marguerite; one brother. Godfrey of Vermillion; many other relatives and friends. A generous purse to be given to the Oddfellows and Orphans home at Mason City was presented by friends and neighbors in memory of Mr. Danielson. Cherokee Daily Times & Chief, 29 Jul 1950, p2
