Description	:	D. H. Pasquella Daniel H. Pasquella, 70, one of the organizers of the old Eastern Shore Baseball League, died Saturday in Leland Memorial Hospital at Riverdale, Md., after a short illness. A resident of Crisfield for many years, Mr. Pasquella moved to Greenbelt, Md., about six years ago. He retired seven years ago after many years as manager of the Arcade Theatre in Crisfield. He was born in Philadelphia and was a son of Mrs. Julia Ricard Pasquella of Philadelphia, and the late John Pasquella. Pasquella, 70, one of the organizers of the old Eastern Shore Baseball League, died Saturday in Leland Memorial Hospital at Riverdale, Md., after a short illness. A resident of Crisfield for many years, Mr. Pasquella moved to Greenbelt, Md., about six years ago. He retired seven years ago after many years as manager of the Arcade Theatre in Crisfield. He was born in Philadelphia and was a son of Mrs. Julia Ricard Pasquella of Philadelphia, and the late John Pasquella. Mr. Pasquella broke into organized baseball in 1917 with the Allentown, Pa., team. For a time he was manager of the Montreal Triple A team. He assisted in organization of the old Eastern Shore League back in the 1920's and was active for some time as player-manager of various teams in the league. He closed out his active career as player-manager of the Crisfield team. While heading the Crisfield team he supervised the training of Paul Richards as a second baseman. Mr. Richards, a former major league player and former manager of the Baltimore Orioles, is currently general manger of the Atlanta, Georgia Braves. Mr. Pasquella was the catcher on the team when Mr. Richards played the infield. Surviving Mr. Pasquella in addition to his mother, are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Lawson Pasquella; two children, Mrs. Richard Lee, St. Michaels, and George L. Pasquella, Seabrook, Md.; five grandchildren; and four brothers, Al, Ray, John and Edward Pasquella, all of Philadelphia. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Bradshaw and son Funeral Home. The Rev. Emmett T. Michaels, Bloxom, Va., retired Catholic priest, officiated.
