Description	:	WORLD WAR I Son of Daniel Stephen and Mary Catherine Baxley Collins, husband of Ellen McCormac. MULLINS - Daniel Maxcy Collins, 60, retired merchant native of Marion County, son of the late Daniel Stephen and Mary Catherine Baxley Collins, died this afternoon in the Mullins hospital after an illness of about two weeks. Funeral services will be held from the home at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, conducted by the Rev. C. W. Wilkes. Interment will follow in Cedardale Cemetery. Mr. Collins had been in declining health for the last six months. A member of the Gapway Baptist Church, he spent all his life here.... He held extensive farming interests as well as business interests. He is survived by his widow, Ellen McCormac; daughter, Mrs. J. Y. McIntyre; four brothers, Harvey Collins, Conway Collins and Troy Collins, all of Mullins and Oscar Collins of Winston-Salem, N.C.; five sisters, Mrs. Carl Ellis, Mrs. Berry Brown and Miss Lizzie Collins, all of Mullins, Mrs. Grafton Jones of Latta and Mrs. Carl Kuhn of Trenton, N.J.; and 2 grandsons.
