Daniel Paul Glaser was born April 2, 1956 at Norfolk, Nebraska to Harold and Dorothy (Christiansen) Glaser. He grew up and lived in Stanton all of his life, attending St. John's Lutheran Grade School and graduating from Stanton High School in 1974. The most important things... Read More	Daniel Paul Glaser, age 55 of Stanton, passed away on June 2, 2011 at his home in Stanton after a battle with cancer. Daniel Paul Glaser was born April 2, 1956 at Norfolk, Nebraska to Harold and Dorothy (Christiansen) Glaser. He grew up and lived in Stanton all of his life, attending St. John's Lutheran Grade School and graduating from Stanton High School in 1974. Dan married Carol Bermel on December 31, 1976 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stanton. Three children were born to them, Danielle, Cassandra and Tyler. His family brought great joy to him. The most important things to him were FAITH, FAMILY & FRIENDS. He attended St. John's Lutheran Church all his life, being baptized on June 2, 1956 and confirmed on May 10, 1970. He worked with his dad to help install the plumbing and heating in the building of the new church in 1968 and was always involved in the care and maintenance of the church property until he became to ill to do it any longer. He held various offices and duties in the congregation throughout his years as an adult. Dan worked with his dad in the plumbing and heating business when he was young and then at Kinning and Reil for 15 years, starting while he was still in high school. He then worked at Volkman Plumbing and Heating, and for the last 25 years was in the maintenance department at Nucor Cold Finish in Norfolk. Dan's free time was spent enjoying his family and helping them with their growing families. He was an avid supporter of his children's athletic activities during their high school years and received Booster of the Year Award in 2004. He also enjoyed following the Huskers, especially Husker Football. Dan is survived by his wife of 34 years, Carol Glaser of Stanton; 2 daughters Dani and Jason Fischer and their daughter Jillian of Hadar; Casie and Kent Allen and their children Charlie and Landry of Nemaha, NE; and 1 son Tyler of Stanton; his mother Dorothy Glaser of Stanton; 2 Sisters Rhonda Quiring, Carla and Rick Vogel; 2 brothers Daryl and Mardelle Glaser, Duane and Tammy Glaser all of Stanton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his father, paternal and maternal grandparents. Funeral Service Information: Funeral Services: St. John's Lutheran Church – Stanton, NE Date: Monday June 6, 2011 – 10:30 A.M.
