Mr. McFarland, son of Samuel and Margaret (Yohe) McFarland, was born Mar. 18, 1875, at Allerton, Iowa, and died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1954, at his farm home southwest of Nelson. Mr. McFarland, son of Samuel and Margaret (Yohe) McFarland, was born Mar. 18, 1875, at Allerton, Iowa, and died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1954, at his farm home southwest of Nelson. He came to Nuckolls county (sic) when he was nine years old, and was a resident of the county for 70 years. He was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian church sic). On June 16, 1898, he was united in marriage to Miss Clara S. Baird. To this union were born three sons, Floyd of Greenland, Colo.; Samuel Baird of Superior, who died exactly four weeks before his father; Tom of Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Loretta Miller of Strool, S.D., and Mrs. Helen Martin of Bostwick.
