Darleen Louise Mader was born October 8, 1939, the daughter of Kenneth and Dorthea (Harris) Mader on the family farm near Lostwood, ND. Darleen Louise Mader was born October 8, 1939, the daughter of Kenneth and Dorthea (Harris) Mader on the family farm near Lostwood, ND. She was raised and educated at Sidonia School Number 1 in Mountrail County. At the beginning of her freshman year, she transferred to St. Agnes Catholic School in Kenmare. Darleen was united in marriage to Duane Jensen on October 16, 1956 at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Stanley. They made their home in Kenmare, where she worked for the Kenmare School District. She also drove for the Kenmare Meals on Wheels program. Duane died September 16, 2016. Darleen was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Kenmare. Darleen enjoyed crocheting, gardening, wood working, reading, puzzles, and card games with family members. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Surviving family includes: Children: DeAnna Gange, Fargo, ND, Debra (Jeff) Buller, Moorhead, MN, Connie (Kenny) Erickson, Roosevelt, MN, Carrie (Kenny) Nygaard, Portal, ND, Rodney (Missy) Jensen, Minot, and Norine (Jon) Haugen, Bismarck, ND; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings: Ardell (Dan) Skalicky, Minot, Carole (Dennis) Nelson, Lakewood, CO; brothers-in-law, Darvin Hansen, Minot, ND, and Dennis (Linda) Hansen, Havre, MT; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Darleen was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Diane Jensen, parents, brother Kenneth, grandchildren, Heather Burnes and Lance & Sarah Buller. Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, January 9, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare, ND. Recitation of the Rosary: Monday, January 9, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare, ND. Interment: In the spring at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Kenmare, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Thompson Larson Funeral Home.
