Description	:	Darlene Peterson, 84, of Watertown (formerly Webster), passed away on July 18, 2018 in Yankton. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown with visitation one hour prior to the service. Reverend Kent Stillson will officiate with Robbyn Givens as soloist accompanied by A.J. Sherrill. Burial will be at the Webster City Cemetery. Read More	Darlene Peterson, 84, of Watertown (formerly Webster), passed away on July 18, 2018 in Yankton. Darlene Ann Peterson was born on May 23, 1934 in Waubay, South Dakota to Elmer and Gladys (Fortin) Bundrock. She attended Waubay High School and graduated in 1952. Darlene married Ryan Peterson on December 27, 1953. The couple farmed in Egeland Township in Day County before moving to Webster after selling the family farm. Darlene enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family. In 1992 the couple moved to Watertown and lived at the Villa Apartments. Ryan passed away on January 19, 1993. Darlene then moved to the Sunchase Apartments until the fire when she moved into the Cornell Apartments. She later became a resident at Jenkins Living Center. Darlene was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Webster and Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Watertown. Darlene loved visiting with family, friends and caregivers throughout the years. She also enjoyed listening to “old time music” which helped soothe her mind and soul. Darlene is survived by her sons, Dale (Delores) Peterson and Terry Peterson of Watertown, SD; three grandchildren, James (Jessica) Peterson, John (Lindsay) Peterson and Justin Peterson all of Aberdeen, SD; and four great-grandchildren, Molly, Mason, Dominic and Kru. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Donald Bundrock. - Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel
