Description	:	Darlene Ann (Langerock) Strohschein was born August 19, 1932 to Cornelius and Nellie (Rowenhorst) Langerock in Monroe, SD. She was the oldest of five children and the eldest grandchild. She grew up on the family farms in Minnesota and South Dakota and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1950. She married Eugene F. "Gene" Buchholtz in 1951 and celebrated 34 years of marriage and four children: Dallas (Fay) Buchholtz, Jackie Buchholtz, Sue (Wayne) Benck and Robbi (Jennifer) Buchholtz; daughter-in-law, Lori Buchholtz, before his death in 1985. She was the oldest of five children and the eldest grandchild. She grew up on the family farms in Minnesota and South Dakota and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1950. She married Eugene F. "Gene" Buchholtz in 1951 and celebrated 34 years of marriage and four children: Dallas (Fay) Buchholtz, Jackie Buchholtz, Sue (Wayne) Benck and Robbi (Jennifer) Buchholtz; daughter-in-law, Lori Buchholtz, before his death in 1985. She married Merton Otis Strohschein in 1987 and celebrated 21 years of marriage along with his five sons Drew, Kevin, Todd, Kurt and Shawn before his death in 2008. She made her career in retail operating a furniture and appliance business in Clear Lake with Gene beginning in 1961 until her retirement. Darlene passed away at her home at the Good Samaritan Center in Clear Lake with her family sharing her final days on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at the age of 87. Darlene enjoyed sharing her life with her siblings, children, grandchildren and many civic groups. She survived by her children, step-children, 21 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and grand-dog. She is also survived by two sisters, Joyce (Arnie) Krause and Charlotte Selmer; one brother Chuck (Darlene) Langerock. Darlene was preceded by her husbands: Gene and Merton, and one sister Beverly Stohr.
