Services will be Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015; 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil with Pastor Tom Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Glenvil Cemetery in Glenvil. Darlene was born Feb. 3, 1932, in Hastings, Nebraska, to Martin Edward and Margaret Hermine(Eigenberg) Utecht. She married Carl Friedrich Stromer on June 25, 1950; he preceded her in death on May 13, 2000. Darlene owned and operated the Glenvil Café. Her other work experiences included homemaker, custodian at Glenvil and Sandy Creek School Districts, and Hastings Regional Center. She was a very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil and served on the flower committee for many years. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl F. Stromer; brothers, Eldon Martin Utecht and Vernon D Utecht; and sister, Lucille Marjorie Weber. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel Stromer of Tama, Iowa, Dean and Sue Stromer of Hastings, Gary and Pam Stromer of Glenvil; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Glendora and Wayne Mills of Hastings; sister-in-law, Dolores Utecht of Hastings.
