Description	:	Darline K. Olander, 76, of Newcastle died Friday, May 18, 2007, at Elm Health Center in Ponca, Neb., after a long illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Newcastle, with the Rev. David Liewer officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Newcastle. Visitation will begin 5 p.m. today, with a vigil service at 7 p.m., at the parish hall in Newcastle. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. She graduated from Newcastle High School in 1947, and was a lifelong resident of Newcastle. She married Lloyd Olander on April 14, 1948, in Newcastle. Darline was a cook at Newcastle Public School for 25 years. She also sold Watkins Products for over 20 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Altar Society and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd of Newcastle; 10 children, Joe Olander and his wife, Sherry of Sioux City, John Olander and his wife, Carol of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Jim Olander of Newcastle, Tom Olander and his wife, Terri of Bloomfield, Neb., Madonna Tanderup of Dixon, Neb., Mary Kuchta and her husband, Barney of Dixon, Marcella Gothier and husband, Dan of Fordyce, Neb., Bob Olander and his wife, Becci of Lincoln, Neb., Clarice Emswiler and her husband, Rusty of Norman, Okla. and Pat Olander of Lincoln, Neb.; a sister, Phyllis Heydon of Sioux City; 31 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Clarice Amable; a son-in-law, Merrill Tanderup; a daughter-in-law, Therese Olander; and a great-grandson, Matthew Christopher Olander. Pallbearers will be Robert Tanderup, Chad Kuchta, Brent Gothier, Chris Olander, Jeff Olander, Ryan Olander, Sean Dowler, Ian Olander, Sam Emswiler and Vijay Olander.
