Description	:	Darlyne Rochelle (Maulsby) Sanburg, of Lincoln, Nebraska, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, died peacefully at her home on November 18, 2009, surrounded by family and the things she loved. Darlyne died after a year-long battle with brain cancer. Darlyne died after a year-long battle with brain cancer. Darlyne was 72 years of age having been born on April 25, 1937, at her maternal grandparents' home in Fairmont, Nebraska to Glenn and Ethel Maulsby. Darlyne graduated from Fairmont (Nebraska) High School with the class of 1955 and moved to York, Nebraska that same year to work as a telephone operator. It was there that she met the love of her life, Darrel Sanburg. They were married in Fairmont, Nebraska on March 9, 1957. During their 52 years of marriage their careers took them to Wahoo, David City, Wood River, Grand Island and Lincoln all in Nebraska. Artistic and creative by nature, Darlyne poured all of her talents into creating a loving and nurturing childhood for her three children. Later, she reveled in her role as grandmother and delighted in creating special events for them that marked birthdays and other significant events in their lives. Darlyne is survived by: her husband, Darrel Sandburg of Lincoln, Nebraska; sons, Bryan Sandburg of Greeley, Colorado and Sean (Londa) of Lincoln, Nebraska and daughter, Kristi (Dr. Daniel) Goerl of Haymarket, Virginia; brothers, Richard Maulsby of Washington, D.C., Ron (Peggy) Maulsby of Canal Fulton, Ohio, and sister, Joyce (Stuart) Pauley of Lincoln, Nebraska; mother-in-law, Winnie Uden of Yuma, Arizona; sister-in-law, Barbara Pinneo, Yuma, Arizona; brothers-in-law, Terry (JoAnn) Sanburg, Yacolt, Washington; Larry Sanburg and Ray Sanburg, both of Las Vegas, Nevada and a host of friends and relatives. Darlyne died after a year-long battle with brain cancer. Darlyne Rochelle Maulsby was born on April 25, 1937, at her maternal grandparents' home in Fairmont to Glenn and Ethel Maulsby. She graduated from Fairmont High School in 1955 and moved to York that same year to work as a telephone operator. It was there that she met the love of her life, Darrel Sanburg. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard Maulsby, Ron (Peggy) Maulsby and sister, Joyce (Stuart) Pauley, mother-in-law, Winnie Uden, sister-in-law, Barbara Pinneo, brothers-in-law, Terry (JoAnn) Sanburg, Larry Sanburg and Ray Sanburg, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, Glenn and Ethel Maulsby. Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Butherus Maser & Love, 4040 A St., Lincoln. Services and celebration of Darlyne's life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Havelock United Methodist Church 4140 No. 60th St., Lincoln. Burial and graveside services at 2 p.m. at the Fairmont Public Cemetery. Memorials to Hospice of Tabitha 4720 Randolph, Madonna Foundation 5401 South Street or National Brain Tumor Society.
