Description	:	Darrel E. Kirkendall, 83, passed away at 9:00 pm March 15, 2016 at Bluffton Mennonite Memorial Home. Darrel was born September 7, 1932 in Lima to D. Everett and Ada (Shenk) Kirkendall who preceded him in death. On April 15, 1956 he married Esther Lapp who preceded him in death on January 21, 2011. He worked as a picker for Roundy's retiring in 1995. Darrel was a member of Tri-County Assembly of God in Bluffton, passed out thousands of "The Word for You Today" devotionals by Bob Gass Ministries and was a volunteer chaplain for Transport for Christ. Survivors include: 3 Sons, Terry (Cathy) Kirkendall of Lima, Stan (Julia) Kirkendall of Tulsa, OK, Dennis (Amanda) Kirkendall of Wapakoneta; 2 Daughters, Beverly (Jim) Miller of Wapakoneta, Becky Binkley of Raleigh, NC; 14 Grandchildren; 15 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Brothers, John (Pat) Kirkendall, Wilmer "Bill" (Glenna) Kirkendall both of Elida; 2 Sisters, Ruth Evans of Elida, Helen (Lester) Shenk of Lima. He was preceded in death by: 3 Brothers, Robert (Elsie) Kirkendall, Richard Kirkendall, Gerald Kirkendall; a Brother-in-law, Darl Evans. Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 19 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Pastor Terry Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Salem Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday at Shawnee Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Bob Gass Ministries, P.O.
