Some of his hobbies were calf roping, team roping, horse training, and spur making. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fountain, the Knights of Columbus, and the Quarter Horse Association. David is survived by his wife of 64 years, Martha (Teter) Davis, six children, Mary Allie of Colorado Springs; Deborah (Roger) Raygo of Waukesha, Wisconsin; William Kelly Davis of Colorado Springs; Jeanne (Terry) Smiley of Colorado Springs; Lisa (Greg Rosenkrantz) McCormick of Kodiak, Alaska; and Rebecca (Jason) Hiller of Bow, Washington. David is also survived by nine grandsons, one granddaughter, twelve great grandchildren, one sister, Martha Betsher, of Eureka, Kansas, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. David was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Beth (Giffin) Davis, two children, his son, Clark Davis, and a daughter, Amy Meadows, three sisters, Bonnie Cooper, Freda Stuber, and Shirley Beeman, and twin great grandsons. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 331 Main Street, Security, Colorado. Burial will follow at a later date at the Greenwood County Cemetery in Eureka, Kansas. Donations may be made to the St. Dominic's Building Fund at 331 Main Street, Security, Colorado 80911.
