Description	:	David A. Steele services Tuesday David Arnold Steele, 74, died Sunday morning at his home 5 miles northeast of Ottumwa. He was the son of William and Rebecca Steele, and was born near Cedar, January 11, 1875. On December 25, 1906 he was married to Ella A. Williams of near Kirkville, and with the exception of eight years at Medelia, Minnesota the couple spent their entire married life and Mahaska and Wapello counties. Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Elmer and Francis, the latter in infancy; and two sisters, Myrtle and Etta. Services were held at Community funeral home in Ottumwa Tuesday afternoon, in charge of the Rev. Merton D. Wyatt, former pastor of the Agency Methodist church. Burial was in the Memorial lawn Cemetery at Ottumwa. Nephews served as pallbearers (From the Fremont Gazette September 1, 1949)
