Description	:	BEULAH -- David Boeckel, 89, Beulah, died peacefully June 5, 2005, surrounded by his loving wife, Sophie, and family at his residence. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MDT Thursday, June 9, at New Life Assembly of God, Beulah, with the Revs. Ron Enget and Ed Langeliers officiating. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery, Beulah. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. MDT today at Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah. David was born April 28, 1916, to Ludwig and Dorothea (Morast) Boeckel, north of Beulah. He married Sophie Wittmaier Sept. 19, 1934, and to this union were born four daughters and four sons. David and Sophie farmed north of Beulah for 35 years and retired to a new home in Beulah in 1969. David was a faithful member of New Life Assembly of God, Beulah. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Sophie; his children, Delores and Henry Hess, Swan River, Manitoba, Canada, Darlene and Jack Harris, Franklin, Ky., Melvin and Luella Boeckel, Grand Island, Neb., Marles and Robert Hess, Vernon, British Columbia, Canada, Clayton and Diane Boeckel, Beulah, LeRoy and Allegra Boeckel, Hazen; Peggy Becker, Mandan, Leon and JoAnn Boeckel, Bloomington, Minn.; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ervin and Art Boeckel, both of Beulah; two sisters-in-law, Bertha and Polly Boeckel, both of Beulah; two sisters, Rose Wolf, Beulah, and Esther Weiand, Kelso, Wash.; one brother-in-law, Andy Wolf, Beulah; and numerous nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; three brothers Albert, Herman and Herbert; and two sisters, Evelyn and Martha.
