Description	:	Herbert Boeckel, 83, Beulah, passed from this life into the arms of his heavenly Father on March 22, 2005, at Hazen medical center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Saturday, March 26, at Prairie View Church of God, Beulah, with the Rev. Thomas Rasey, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah. Herbert was the youngest son of 10 children born to Ludwig and Dorothea (Morast) Boeckel of rural Beulah. He was reared on the family farm and graduated from country school. He was married to Sylvia Becker Nov. 9, 1941, and to this union were born three daughters, Betty, Carole and Pamela Sue. Herb and Sylvia farmed north of Zap until Sylvia's passing Sept. 5, 1957. Herb continued to farm until he sold out in 1965. He then moved to California and Washington and began working road construction for 17 years, a job to which he was devoted. In 1981 he returned to Beulah to enjoy retirement, although he worked for a short time as "roller man" in the paving of Highway 1806. He married Patricia (Polly) Pender Nov. 16, 1990. Herbert loved the Lord and faithfully attended and supported the Prairie View Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Polly; two daughters and one son-in-law, Betty Scott, Osburn, Idaho, and Carole (Bob) Hoppe, Clark Fork, Idaho; four grandsons and their wives, Clifford and Sabena Zent, St. Albens, W.Va., Terry and Kathy Zent, Richfield, Minn., Dallas and Tracy Crabtree, Deer Park, Wash., Denny Crabtree, Spokane, Wash.; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rose and Andy Wolf, Beulah, and Esther Weiand, Kelso, Wash.; three brothers, Dave and Sophia Boeckel, Ervin and Bertha Boeckel and Art Boeckel, all of Beulah; and numerous nieces and nephews. Herbert was preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia; a daughter, Pamela Sue; a dear son-in-law, Lawrence Scott; his parents; his brothers, Albert and Herman; and his sisters, Evelyn and Martha.
