He was born Sept. 30, 1953, to Paul and Norma (Smith) Boese in El Dorado. They preceded him in death. He grew up in Newton. He was handicapped and lived his entire adult life in Colorado Springs. He lived in Cheyenne Village Inc. in Colorado Springs. He enjoyed music and sports. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. He also enjoyed dancing and participated in the Special Olympics. Survivors include: three brothers, Jody Boese of Bergenfield, N.J., Paul Boese of Overland Park and Jim Mueller of Halstead; three sisters, Pat Friesen of Lincoln, Neb., Elaine Mueller of Nashville, Tenn., and Joan Reed of Edinburg, Texas; and a stepmother, Ruth Boese of North Newton. Burial was Monday at Restlawn Gardens of Memory in rural Newton. Funeral service was Monday at Bethel College Mennonite Church in North Newton with Pastor Heidi Regier Kreider officiating. Memorials have been established with Cheyenne Village Inc. of Colorado Springs in care of the funeral home.
