Biographical Information: David was a 1950 graduate of the Monon High School of Monon, Indiana. He attended the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello, Indiana. David accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1961. In 1967 he and his brother-in-law Clyde Sickler formed the Hornback - Sickler Company operating for over 30 years. They built most all of the bridges in White County, the Norway Bridge being one of their greatest accomplishments. David served on the Monticello Economic Development after the 1974 tornado went through. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Former State and Savings for several years, and also served on the Board of Directors for the Former State Bank of Oxford (which is now known as Alliance Bank). David was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting, and spending time in Monon, Indiana. Special Services: Memorial Information: May be given to the White County Food Pantry or to the Monon Food Backpack Program. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Marriage Information: On October 7, 1951, at the Reynolds United Methodist Church in Reynolds, Indiana, he married Marlene M. Getz. She passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Survivors include: Daughters, Pamela (husband John) Cox of Dallas, Texas, and Lisa (husband Perry) McWilliams of Monticello, Indiana; Son, Jeffrey Hornback of Lebanon, Indiana; Grandchildren, Amanda (Fiance mike Constable) Hornback - Estridge of Indianapolis, Indiana, Andrew (wife Jen) McWilliams of Nashville, Tennessee, Michael Hornback of Monticello, Indiana, and Taylor (husband Ben) Irwin Minneapolis, Minnesota; Great Grandsons, Jake and Max McWilliams at home in Nashville, Tennessee; Brother, Earl (wife June) Hornback of Monticello; Best Friend, Ralph Robinson of Monon, Indiana. Preceded in Death: Parents, David C. and Mary (Haycraft) Hornback, Sr.; Wife, Marlene M.
