Born at Bergton, Rockingham County Virginia, Mr. Ritchie was a son of the late George and Elizabeth Ritchie. He had been a resident of Westernport 27 years, and had been employed by the W.Va. Pulp and Paper Company at Luke for 26 years. Though in ill health for several years, he had been seriously ill for only three weeks. Besides his wife, Mrs. Bessie Foltz Ritchie, he leaves three daughters, Misses Phyllis and Edith, at home, and Mrs. Arone DiUbaldo, of Piedmont, and two sons, Wayne and Shelby, of Westernport. Another son, Captain Dolan Ritchie, died on the Island of Ceylon in 1944. A brother, William Ritchie of Needmore, W.Va., and six grandchildren also survive. Out-of-town people attending the funeral included Mrs. Carroll Eye, Detroit, Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ritchie, Ridgeley; William Ritchie, Needmore, W.Va.; Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Combs and family, Stephens City, Va.; Mrs. Gray McCulloh, Cumberland; Mrs. Anna Alexander, Midland; Mrs. George Landis and family, McCoole; Mrs. Ralph Bennett, Keyser; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lambert and son, Whitacre, Va., and Robert Price, Frostburg.
