Description	:	David D. Baergen, 93, of Wenatchee, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008. He was a longtime resident of Wenatchee, and was an orchardist. Survivors include his daughter, Janet Van Horn of East Wenatchee. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Spring Valley Cemetery near Newport. David worked on the family farm and took care of his parents until the early 1960's, when he came to the Wenatchee Valley. He married Violet Price in 1964, and they were orchardists in Malaga, until moving to Kennewick in 1976. David and Vi enjoyed the mild climate of the Tri-Cities and David loved growing big gardens, especially strawberries. They also enjoyed their many pets. The couple moved back to Wenatchee in 2002, to be closer to family. David is survived by three step-children, Janet (Fred) Van Horn, Bob (Jan) Price and Linda Worley; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, who treasured their Uncle Dave. David was preceded in death by his wife, Violet in 2007; and his brothers John, Kurt, Ben, Abe and Paul; and his sister, Katherine Androes. Services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. in Newport, WA at the Spring Valley Mennonite Church.
