Description	:	Funeral services for David Earl Jensen, 19, killed in an automobile accident Sunday, were Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Plains in Edgar. The Rev. Victor Schwarz officiated and burial was in the Edgar Cemetery. The Urbauer Funeral Home of Edgar was in charge. The youth was a 1970 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and was employed by the Edgar Grain Supply Co. Jensen's car had stalled on the edge of the State Spur 188 about a half mile west of Edgar. He had walked into town where he got a second car to attempt to start the first one. He was standing between the two cars when a westbound car driven by Kurt Shaw, 17, of Edgar struck the rear of one, knocking the victim into a ditch and overturning the first Jensen car onto him, according to Clay County Deputy Sheriff Arlen Stahl who investigated. Stahl said Shaw and a passenger, Linda Steen, about 17, were treated and released by Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital for cuts and bruises. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Jensen; a brother, Steve at home; three sisters, Mrs. Linda Sample of Hoxie, Kansas, Mrs. Nancy Crispin of Superior and Mrs. Donna Coy of Lincoln and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ever Jensen of Hastings. A brother, Dennis was the victim of an auto accident near Deweese about two years ago. His widow, Mrs. Cecilia Jensen survives. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, October 7, 1971
