Description	:	Published in the Hamilton Evening Democrat June 24, 1902 David Eckert, son of John and Sarah Eckert, was born near Brown's Run, December 16, 1838, and died near Miltonville, June 16, 1902, aged 63 years, 6 months. On December 17, 1864, he was married to Miss Emma Long, daughter of Elias and Phoebe Long. To them was born one daughter, Rose, who is now Mrs. John Wolf. In the Civil War he was a member of Capt. G.C. Warwick's company in the 167th O.N.G. On the 18th the funeral service was held in the U.B. Church, Rev. H.J. Krehbiehl of Trenton officiating. The deceased... He is survived by a wife; daughter; grandson; two brothers; two sisters; three uncles, Henry Eckert, Ill., Daniel Eckert, Ind., and the venerable David Marts, aged 87 years, of Madison Township, Butler Co., Ohio.
