He was an employe of the Burlington railroad and president of the local unit of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks. He worked Wednesday, and was evidently in good health. He was an employe of the Burlington railroad and president of the local unit of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks. He worked Wednesday, and was evidently in good health. Mr. Minor was born December 25, 1881, at Iconium, Iowa, the son of Alice and Arthur Minor. Surviving are his wife, Rosa, two daughters, Mrs. Louise James of Ottumwa and Miss Mary Minor of Des Moines, three sons, Arthur E., Ottumwa, Francis of Arlington, Va., and Harold of Silver Springs, Md. A sister, Mrs. E.C. Welch, Ottumwa, and a brother, A.M. Minor, Ottumwa, also survive. A son and a brother preceded him in death. Mr. Minor had lived in Ottumwa about 60 years. The body is at the Lester Jay funeral home pending completion of funeral arrangements. -------------- "MINOR SERVICES," From "Ottumwa Courier," August 29, 1947: Funeral services for D.E. Minor who died at his home, 301 East Manning avenue, Wednesday evening, will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home. The Rev. Harold Roberts of the First Christian church will be in charge. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery.
