He had been a resident of Wapello County all his life. He was born March 5, 1890, in Ottumwa, the son of Richard C. and Alice E. Ward Minor. He is survived by his wife, a son, Arthur Max Minor of Santa Rosa, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Pauline Lewis, Mrs. Edna Deburn and Mrs. Lydia Sanford, all of Ottumwa, Mrs. Maxine Bales of Marion, Mrs. Betty Wessel of Hammond Ind., and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers, and an infant daughter. The funeral will be Saturday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel at 1:30 p.m. in charge of Rev. John Groen of First Church of the Open Bible. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of the Plumbers’ and Steamfitters’ Union.
