Description	:	Sutton News, Sutton, NE, July 1984 David Becker, the son of Henry and Kathelena Becker, was born March 3, 1895 in Dovarenga, Russia, and came to the United States in 1914, living first in Sheboygan, WI. In 1915 Mr. Becker moved to the Sutton area and began farming. David was united in marriage in 1915 to Marie Scheierman, February 28, 1915. The couple farmed south of Sutton until Mr. Becker retired in 1960. From 1960 until 1974 the couple lived in Sutton. In 1974 Mrs. Sutton died. The couple farmed south of Sutton until Mr. Becker retired in 1960. From 1960 until 1974 the couple lived in Sutton. In 1974 Mrs. Sutton died. In the same year, Mr. Sutton moved into the Sutton Community Home. In 1982 Mr. Sutton married Bertha May. The couple lived in Sutton until his death this past Friday, July 13, 1984, at the Sutton Community Home. Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife, 11 brothers, 2 sisters, one son, Benjamin, and 5 grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Bertha; 3 sons, Walter of Sutton; Paul of Hastings; and Harold of Lincoln; also one daughter, Matilda Roemmich of Ong; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held at Zion Lutheran Church in Sutton, of which he was a member, with the Rev. David Schafer officiating. Interment was at the Sutton cemetery. Kohler Mortuary of Sutton was in charge of arrangements.
