David always wore a smile on his face and was loved by all who knew him. He had a compassionate heart and love for gospel music, drawing, and talking about Heaven. A funeral service to celebrate the life of David Jeffers, Jr., 62, of Elgin, SC, was held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church in Elgin. Rev.’s Paul Miles, George Cashwell and Richard Cameron officiated. Burial follwed in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 19, 2016, on David's birthday at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Memorials may be made in David’s memory to Thiel-Meyer Animal Adoption Center, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020. David is survived by his sisters, Mary Rose and Elaine Perry (Jack) both of Elgin, SC and Debra Melton of Lugoff, SC; and brothers, Tommy Jeffers (Christine) of Florence, SC and Donnie Jeffers (Suzzette) of Camden, SC.
