Description	:	SIGG, DAVID L. David L. Sigg, 39, of 852 North St., died today at Allen county Hospital where he had been a patient the past week. He had been in ill health for five years. Sigg had been employed in the maintenance department at Midland Brake. He was born in Iola on Dec. 8, 1947, the son of Victor H. and Nellie M. Allen Sigg. He attended the Iola schools and was graduated from Iola High School in 1966. From 1968 to 1971, he served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church... Read More	SIGG, DAVID L. David L. Sigg, 39, of 852 North St., died today at Allen county Hospital where he had been a patient the past week. He had been in ill health for five years. Sigg had been employed in the maintenance department at Midland Brake. He was born in Iola on Dec. 8, 1947, the son of Victor H. and Nellie M. Allen Sigg. He attended the Iola schools and was graduated from Iola High School in 1966. From 1968 to 1971, he served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No.1225. Survivors include two son, Aaron and Britt, both of Piqua; his mother, Nellie Sigg, Iola; eight brothers, Donald, John, Victor G., Herbert, Daniel, Ronald, Gerald and Steven all of Iola; four sisters, Elsie Galemore, Chanute, Mrs. Larry(Mary) Fudge of Iola, Mrs. Alan(Helen) McNabb of Waco, Texas; and Mrs David(Patricia) Griffith, Covington, Ga. A brother, Paul preceded him in death. The funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday in St. John's Catholic Church. the Rev. Paul Oborny will be celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery at Humboldt. The parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in St. John's Catholic church. Friends may call at Friskel Memorial Chapel until 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Memorials in Sigg's name to the American Cancer Society may be sent to Waugh-Yokum and Friskel Memorial Chapels, which are in charge of arrangements. (The Iola Register, May 8, 1987)
