David graduated from Harmony High School in Bonaparte, IA with the Class of 1963. David had been employed in Foote Mineral in Keokuk for twenty-two years. He later worked for Lee County at the South Lee County Courthouse in Keokuk, retiring after more than twenty years of service. David was an active Union Member during all his working years. David loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. He regularly attended auctions and was an avid flea market shopper and enjoyed trips to Rutledge. David loved spending time with his grandsons.
