Description	:	David Newell Elliot was born near Mt. Olive, Casey county, Kentucky, on the 20th day of June 1857 and died at his home on Banner, Kansas, on April 23, 1906; aged 48 years, 10 months and 2 days. He was married to Emily Jane Morgan, Sep. 1, 1878, in his home county and came to Kansas to make their future home. They returned to Kentucky 2 years later and made their home there until March 1895 when they returned to Kansas and have resided on Banner until his death. Olive, Casey county, Kentucky, on the 20th day of June 1857 and died at his home on Banner, Kansas, on April 23, 1906; aged 48 years, 10 months and 2 days. He was married to Emily Jane Morgan, Sep. 1, 1878, in his home county and came to Kansas to make their future home. They returned to Kentucky 2 years later and made their home there until March 1895 when they returned to Kansas and have resided on Banner until his death. Of this union have been born eight daughters, one of whom died in infancy, the second, Mrs. Exie Elliott Bair, preceded her father to the better land one month ago. The remaining six sisters are left to console their bereaved mother; Mrs. Vera Riley and Mrs. Beatrice Bryan, of Holton, and Mrs. Ethel Wilson, of Osborn, Kansas, and Annie, Bessie and Edith at home. Mr. Elliott is of a family of eight children seven of whom still survive him. Two brothers, Simon and Grant, of Casey county, Kentucky. A sister, Mrs. Drucilla DeBoard, of Marshall, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Malissa Adams, Mrs. Bertha Westley, of Deming, New Mexico; Mrs. Amanda Brown, of Soldier and Mrs. Serena DeBoard, of Circleville, Kansas.
