Description	:	Corydon Times Republican January 18, 1947 David Oliver Williams, son of Theodore and Mahala Williams, was born near Lacelle in Clark county, Iowa, on June 27, 1865, and passed away at the Baker's Nursing home at Chariton Iowa on January 4, 1947, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 7 days. Read More	Corydon Times Republican January 18, 1947 David Oliver Williams, son of Theodore and Mahala Williams, was born near Lacelle in Clark county, Iowa, on June 27, 1865, and passed away at the Baker's Nursing home at Chariton Iowa on January 4, 1947, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 7 days. In February 1866, his parents bought a farm one and one-half miles south of Allerton, and moved their family there. The rest of his entire life was spent in Wayne county, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Clara Juliette (Julia) Mace on October 10, 1889. To this union four children were born, a daughter and a son dying in infancy. He was preceded in death by his wife in February, 1936 and a grandson in July 1942. He was a member of the Methodist church at Allerton, Iowa. He was also a member of the Masonic lodge at Allerton, Iowa, for over fifty years. He is survived by two children; E. E. Williams of Willow Springs, Mo., and Mrs. Una Watson of Sewal, Mo., now residing at Bellflower, Calif., five grandchildren; Dean Williams of Willow Springs, Dale Williams of the U.S. Army now stationed at Fort Dix., Betty Watson of Bellflower, Doyle Watson of Sewal, and Mrs. Ruby Warren of Sewal; four great-grandchildren; four sisters; two brothers; beside a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Allerton, Rev. D. C. Callison in charge. The Masonic Lodge took charge of a short graveside service. The Pallbearers were Garrett Shriver, Frederick Lane, Everett Prince, Ernest Prince, Glen Williams and Roy Mace. Note from contributor: His mother's maiden name was Mahala Fightmaster
