Deceased had been enjoying his usual state of health until Saturday afternoon, when he complained of feeling tired and sleepy and wanted to lie down awhile, and shortly afterwards fell into a deep sleep and continued in that state until Tuesday night, when after opening his eyes he gently breathed his last, a fitting close to a long and useful life. Read More	David Silver 1924 Bridgewater Bulletin Hemford There passed away on Tuesday night at 1 o'clock, an old resident of this place in the person of David Silver, aged 82 years 11 months and seven days. Deceased had been enjoying his usual state of health until Saturday afternoon, when he complained of feeling tired and sleepy and wanted to lie down awhile, and shortly afterwards fell into a deep sleep and continued in that state until Tuesday night, when after opening his eyes he gently breathed his last, a fitting close to a long and useful life. Deceased was a life long member of the Congregational Church, filling the office of deacon for many years and was always in his place in the church on Sundays, and his long familiar figure will be missed, not only by his own family, but by everybody. His remains were laid to rest in the cemetery here on Saturday morning, Rev. Gartung officiating, as his own pastor is laid aside by illness. The sermon based on I John 3: 1-3 was listened to by a very large audience, and the truths brought out in this sermon will linger long in the minds of those present. Mr. Silver's family who survive are his widow and twelve children, Edmund of Milford, Annapolis County; Ella and Jessie of Cambridge, Mass.; Hattie of Dorchester, Mass.; Beatrice and Dora of Marlborough, Mass.; Anna of Nineveh; Walter, Herbert, living near the old home; and Naaman, Ford, and Winnie, at home.
