Description	:	Dayton Lincoln Patton was born Feb. 14, 1862 in Hamilton Co. Indiana. Soon after his parents moved to Tipton Co. Ind. where they lived until Dayton was six and a half years old. Then they moved to Minnesota where they lived ten months, then to Waterville in Marshall Co. Kansas where his mother died. A few years later about 1873 his father moved to Republic Co. Kansas on a farm, where he lived most of the time. At the age of twenty five years Dayton married Louisa L. Burgess of Wayne, Kansas. Born to this union were two sons... Read More	Dayton Lincoln Patton was born Feb. 14, 1862 in Hamilton Co. Indiana. Soon after his parents moved to Tipton Co. Ind. where they lived until Dayton was six and a half years old. Then they moved to Minnesota where they lived ten months, then to Waterville in Marshall Co. Kansas where his mother died. A few years later about 1873 his father moved to Republic Co. Kansas on a farm, where he lived most of the time. At the age of twenty five years Dayton married Louisa L. Burgess of Wayne, Kansas. Born to this union were two sons and one daughter. They made their home on the farm Dayton's father had with the exception of two years when they moved to Los Angeles, California. Their daughter Pearl accompanying them. Dayton made a profession of faith in the Lord at the age of fifteen years. At the age of twenty one he united with the Methodist Protestant Church. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at one time but most of the time was a member of the Methodist Protestant until he moved to Los Angeles where he united with the Euclid Heights Presbyterian Church where he remained a member until his death. Dayton was a member of two lodges, the Modern Woodman of America, and the Odd Fellows. Memorial services were held December 17, 1938 at the Euclid Heights Presbyterian Church and Interment was in Odd Fellows cemetery.
