| Description | : | He is the son of Abraham and Phebe (Taber) Ashley. He married January 3, 1799 in Dartmouth Massachusetts, Nancy Phillips. He married July 18, 1816 in Dartmouth, Elizabeth Wordell. He was named in his fathers will as follows: "I give my son Taber Ashley a piece of Cedar Swamp in Dartmouth, in which I bought of Stephen Taber and my beaver hat."
