Description	:	Dean G. Fenton, 86, of 430 S. Davis, died at 4:10 a.m. November 16, 2016 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He was born February 13, 1930 in Williamson, IA to Howard and Juanita Sines Fenton. He married Louise O. Mairet on July 3, 1952. Dean served in the U.S. Army with the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment. He was a mechanic for Buchanan Implement, worked for General Tire, Carburetor and Electric, A-1 Auto and owned and operated Fenton's Auto Service. Surviving is his wife, Louise; three daughters, Michel (Gayle) Schumacher, Vicky Rork (Brent) and Ellen Fenton (Randy) all of Ottumwa; a son, Scott Fenton of Ottumwa; three grandchildren, Melissa Malterer, Brian Rork and Andy Ramos; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim Fenton; two sisters, Dora Jane Pilcher and Betty Valentine. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, George and LaVern Fenton and a sister, Karol Knutson. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. Military services will be conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion. Burial will be in Brushy Cemetery in Appanoose County. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Sunday with the family present from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
