Description	:	Dean Griswold was born in 1872 to George and Sara Blackman. His parents were born and raised in New York with his paternal grandparents born in Massachusetts. He married Cery Blanche Davidson in 1904. Together they had five children: Ellen, George, Donald, Helen, and Norman; Ellen, Donald and Helen each had very short lives and angelically went to rest eternally with the Heavenly Father. He raised his second oldest child and youngest child as a widower parent with his mother living in his home until her death in 1920. The five grandchildren he was blessed with in his life were Lawrence, James, Robert, David, Thomas, and Donald who were Norman/George's sons who lived and were raised in Sioux Falls, S.D. In their married lives Dean's grandsons moved to Minnesota, Wisconsin and Ohio. His one Blackman grandson preceded his son Norman in death. He was laid to rest next to his beloved wife in 1954 at the Green Hill cemetery near the Lowry/McCann Irish roots in the Davidson, Dunn, Mcmaster, Lowry family members.
