Description	:	Dean N. Enright, age 87, of Nisland, died Tuesday May 17, 2011, at the Morningstar Assisted Living Center in Rapid City. Dean was born July 22, 1923, in Timber Lake, SD. He was the son of Bryan and Pearl (Wood) Enright. Dean grew up on a family ranch near Little Eagle, and in 1942 he graduated from the Timber Lake High School. On December... Read More	Dean N. Enright, age 87, of Nisland, died Tuesday May 17, 2011, at the Morningstar Assisted Living Center in Rapid City. Dean was born July 22, 1923, in Timber Lake, SD. He was the son of Bryan and Pearl (Wood) Enright. Dean grew up on a family ranch near Little Eagle, and in 1942 he graduated from the Timber Lake High School. During World War II, Dean served his country in the US Navy, where he was an aircraft machinist, serving in the Pacific Theatre. Following his discharge, in 1946, he returned to the family ranch. On December 25, 1946, Dean was united in marriage to Rita Ward, in Timber Lake. Following their marriage they started their own ranch in central Corson County. In 1966, Dean began his college education at SDSU. He graduated second in a class of 227, from the College of Agriculture and Biological Sciences. Following his graduation, Dean worked for the Farmers Home Administration in Rapid City, later moving to Hot Springs, McIntosh, Bison, Springfield, CO, Gillette, Torrington, and Wheatland. Throughout his fifteen and a half years, he worked with about every type of agriculture. He served as an Assistant County Supervisor, County Supervisor, and retired as an Assistant District Director. Following his retirement, Dean and Rita moved to Nisland. Rita died in July of 2005. For the past several months, Dean has resided at the Morningstar Assisted Living Center in Rapid City. Dean is survived by his son, Wiley Enright of Nisland; daughters, Juanita (Melvin) Pittman of Nisland, Rita Enright and Dakota Enright both of Sacramento, CA, Deann Enright of Spearfish; four grandchildren, Pandianne Pittman, Ross (Teresa) Pittman, Charlee (Jake) Bachman, Jared Montoya; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rita; twin brothers, Bruce and Alexander "Bryce" (#61354483) Enright; and sister, Delores Olson. Services will be held Friday May 20, 2011 at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche with Pastor Kim Bachman officiating. Visitation will be held Friday. Interment will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
