Description	:	Dedrich Koch MILLER - Dedrich (Deach) Koch died Tuesday in Sioux Falls at the age of 75. The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Read More	Dedrich Koch MILLER - Dedrich (Deach) Koch died Tuesday in Sioux Falls at the age of 75. The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. David Belzer officiating. Interment will be in the GAR Cemetery. Koch was born April 10, 1900 in Eden Township, Buffalo County, to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Koch. He attended rural schools in Buffalo County and on Dec. 23, 1923 he married Laura Winsell. They farmed in Buffalo County until 1939 when they moved to Goshen, Ind. In 1943 they returned to Buffalo County and in 1970 retired to live in Miller. Following his retirement he did extensive traveling and the past winter visited his daughter in West Germany. He was very active in baseball organizations and played, coached or managed teams in Gann Valley, Spring Lake and Miller. Survivors include one son, Harold, Gann Valley; four daughters, Mrs. Hrold (Donna) Fields, Goshen, Ind., Mrs. John (Arlene) Palmer, Waldmohr, West Germany, Mrs. Homer (Bernadine) Moncur, Belle Fourche, and Mrs. James (Joyce) Green, Sioux Falls; one brother, Bernie, Goshen, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Stengel, Milbank; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, six brothers and four sisters. Pallbearers will be Dick Green, Delbert Piper, Harold Mentzer, Byron Sinkie, Don Ames and J.B. Heilman, active; and George Sinkie, Ralph Cruson, Howard Keck, Merrill Keck, Layton Stebbins, Louie Vlasek and Lee Fugate.
