The remains were brought here Sunday morning accompanied by her sister Mrs. Adda Stowers. The husband and two children Wilbur and Evelyn drove through by automobile. Della Grace, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Adamson, was born in Jewell county (sic), Kansas, July 23, 1885, and departed this life April 10, 1930, at Boulder, Colorado, at the age of 44 years, 8 months, 17 days. She spent most of her lifetime in Nuckolls county (sic), and graduated from the Nelson High School in 1904. When a child she united with the Christian church at Nora, Nebraska, and was a faithful worker in the Master's vineyard through the years following and up to the time when she was stricken with an ailment that would not respond to medical science and care of her loved ones. On May 23, 1906, she was united in marriage with J.P. Scherzinger. Until a few years ago they resided on the farm in Nora precinct and from there they moved to Webster county (sic), where they resided until about three months ago. At that time her health had become such that it ws thought that the Colorado climate might prove beneficial and they went to Boulder, Colorado, for an extended visit with a sister. A few weeks ago she was taken to the hospital where every thing humanly possible was done to restore her health, but she was called home on Thursday of last week. Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Scherzinger: Mrs. Lottie Krause of Lincoln, Nebr., and Wilbur and Evelyn of Boulder, Colo. She leaves the husband and children to mourn the going of a loving and dutiful wife and a kind mother. Also four sisters and three brothers survive: Julius E. of Paola, Kans.; Mrs. Belle Wright, Maderia, Calif.; Stanley, Wauneta; Elton, Bushnell, Mrs. Lillie Corman, Nelson; Mrs. Adda Stowers, Boulder, Colo.; Mrs. Blanche Houston, York. One sister, Mrs. Rilla Downing, and an infant brother preceded her in death, as have also the father and mother. A host of friends also mourn her early departure. The funeral service was held at the Christian church in Nelson Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the Rev. T.A. Lindenmeyer of Guide Rock, assisted by Rev. L.W. Myers of the Nelson church. The pallbearers were Clarence and Fred Stanley, George Tate, George Thayer, Henry Stowers and Clayton Shipman, all old friends from Nora. The music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wood, Blanch Thayer and Ollie Aikin, with Mrs. L.W. Myers at the piano. Interment was made in Nelson cemetery.
