Description	:	Jacob P. Scherzinger (better known to a host of friends in Nuckolls county (sic) as "Jake" was born in Clarington, Ohio, July 22, 1876. In the spring of 1888 he came to Nebraska with his parents, John and Rosa Scherzinger, who at that time settled on a farm near Nora. May 20, 1906, he was married to Miss Della Grace Adamson. To them three children were born: Mrs. Lottie Krause of Los Angeles, California; Wilber of Guide Rock; and Evelyn of Boulder, Colorado. In the spring of 1888 he came to Nebraska with his parents, John and Rosa Scherzinger, who at that time settled on a farm near Nora. May 20, 1906, he was married to Miss Della Grace Adamson. To them three children were born: Mrs. Lottie Krause of Los Angeles, California; Wilber of Guide Rock; and Evelyn of Boulder, Colorado. In 1921 the family moved to Webster county (sic), where they resided on a farm until about three years ago, when the father was stricken with embolism. Since that time his health gradually failed, and at 10:30 Friday night, June 3, 1932, he went peacefully to sleep at the home of his brother Frank A. and wife, where he had resided for the past thirteen months. Deceased was a kind and indulgent father, and a member of the Christian church (sic). The faithful wife and loving mother preceded him in death April 10, 1930. He is survived by the three children who are thus deprived of that much-needed parental admonition, and his brother, the oldest and only surviving member of the family of three sons and three daughters, all of whom together with the parents have gone to the ome (sic) beyond. Funeral services were held in the Christian church (sic) in Nelson, at ten o'clock Monday morning, the Rev. T.A. Lindenmeyer of Inavale, conducting the same. The pallbearers were former friends and neighbors of Nora; Fred Stanley, Clarence Stanley, George Tate, John Bowes, Henry Schleufer and Orvill Bucknell. A quartet composed of Mrs. Harold Wood, Cleo Crook, Ollie Aikin and Warren C. Hall, with Mrs. H.A. Brubaker at the piano, furnished the music. Interment was made in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
