Description	:	Last Rites For Mrs. Howard Thies Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. from First Presbyterian church in Waukon for Mrs. Howard Thies. The Rev. William Tjaden officiated and burial was in oakland cemetery. Mrs. Thies died Friday, Oct. 23 in Waukon Veterans Memorial hospital following a short illness. She was born Della Invick, Dec. 9, 1896 in Glenwood township and was a daughter of Thomas and Bertha Nesset Invick. She was educated in the Winneskiek [sic] county schools. She was born Della Invick, Dec. 9, 1896 in Glenwood township and was a daughter of Thomas and Bertha Nesset Invick. She was educated in the Winneskiek [sic] county schools. March 8, 1933 she married Howard Thies in Waukon. He survives, as do a son Allan of Redwing, Minn., and a daughter Mrs. Donald (Alice) Hager of Waukon. Four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Clem Dinger and Mrs. Henry Gross of Decorah, also survive. Mrs. Thies was a member of First Presbyterian church and of the women's guild. Alfred Hansmeier, Rolland Hangartner, Clinton Kelly, Vernon Johnson, Norman Invick and Thomas Horan were pallbearers. Martin Brothers funeral home was in charge of arragements.
