Description	:	Funeral services were held Thursday April 19 at Hengstlers Chapel in Creighton for Delma Stingley, who passed away Monday, April 16 at the Creighton Care Centre. Rev. Robert Hopkins from Bloomfield conducted the services. Pallbearers were Dale Hilkemeier, Delbert Hilkemeier, Duane Dohmen, Richard Elwood, Kenneth Elwood and Marvin Elwood Jr. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery. Following the services a lunch was served at the Methodist Church by the WSCS. Delma Earl Stingley was born to Rion Elmer and Rossetta Stingley on November 3, 1901 in Knox County. He grew into manhood in this area and attended school at Creighton. On February 17, 1923, he was united in marriage to Doris Oriel Elwood. Two sons were born to this couple, Keith of Plainview and Neil of Lincoln. He spent his entire life in the Creighton area, where he was engaged in farming. Due to poor health he retired in 1953 and moved to Creighton. On August 8, 1977, he entered the Creighton Care Centre, after the death of his wife and lived there until his death on April 16, 1979. He was preceded in death by his wife, both parents, two brothers and one sister. His survivors include his two sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Stingley of Plainview and Mr. and Mrs. Neil Stingley of Lincoln, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
