Delmar died Monday, March 25, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Neligh, Nebraska. Delmar Glen Eggers, son of Elman and Stella (Wingate) Eggers, was born August 4, 1931, at Tilden, Nebraska; a place that Delmar would call home his entire life. He grew up on the Eggers Charolais Ranch, and graduated from Tilden High School with the Class of 1948. On May 5, 1950, Delmar was married to Beverly Toelle at the Peace United Church of Christ in Tilden, Nebraska. The couple was blessed with two children: Michael and Pat. Delmar and Bev made their home on the farm northwest of Tilden, where they raised their children, and were actively involved in operating the Eggers Charolais Ranch. The Eggers' reputation for producing high quality Charolais cattle not only made the Eggers family one of the most well-known breeding stock operations in northeast Nebraska, but also further promoted the advantages of Charolais cattle. Many Charolais herds in the area can trace their genetics back to the work that Delmar and Bev did. In his spare time, Delmar was an avid golfer, and bowler. He was also a longtime member of the American International Charolais Association. More recently, in their retirement years, Delmar and Bev greatly enjoyed spending time at their cabin at Lazy River Acres, along the Missouri River west of Niobrara, Nebraska. Delmar is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Bev Eggers of Ewing, Nebraska; daughter, Pat (Bill) Graber of Ewing; two grandchildren, Jaimie (Nathan) Hartigan of Ewing, and Michael (Erin) Graber of Fremont, Nebraska; two great-grandchildren, Ayden and Colee; and a sister-in-law, Rene Eggers of Tilden, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; grandson, Brandon; and a brother, Gordon. (Brockhaus Funerasl Home - March 26, 2013)
