Delores was born Aug. 18, 1925, to Julius and Emilia (Horning) Heine at home on the farm north of Krem; baptized on Sept. 15, 1925, in St. Jacobus Church, Krem, and confirmed May 28, 1939 in St. Johannes Church, Krem. She was quite young when the family bought and moved to a farm northwest of Stanton. Delores was working as a cashier in the Greyhound Post House in Bismarck, when she met Orville Raymond Reiner. On June 12, 1949, they were united in marriage at St. Luke’s Church, Zap, and shared over 60 happy years together until Orville’s death in 2010. In 1952, they moved to Wolf Point, Mont., where Delores worked in the school lunch room for a number of years. In 1983, Delores and Orville moved to Longmont, Colo., and in 2005 they moved to Billings. Delores enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and quilting. Delores was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and her greatest joy was her family. Delores was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church and a member of the Montana Yellowstone Valley Chapter of AHSGR. She is survived by one son, Gary (Linda) Reiner, Houston, Texas; two daughters, Sharon (Harvey) Hamill, Billings, and Debra (Mike) Winkler, Joliet, Mont.; five grandchildren, Shawna Reiner (Zak) Mortensen, Houston, Jodi Hamill (Trevor) Grabarek, Billings, Matthew Hamill, Billings, David Winker, Laurel, Mont., and Laura Winkler (Beau) Watkins, Billings; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Chloe Grabarek, Billings, and Sophia and Savanna Mortensen, Houston; her sisters-in-law, Eleanor Becker, Beulah, Norma Sailer, Beulah, and Carolyn Loeffelbein, Minot; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Darold and Janelle Reiner, Kalispell, Mont.; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orville; her sister, Bernice Heine Herrmann; and four brothers-in-law, Ivan Herrmann, Christ Sailer, Jake Becker and Gerhardt Loeffelbein. The family would like to thank the staff at both Tender Nest and Riverstone Hospice for their compassion and loving care of Delores during her illness.
