Description	:	URBANA: Deloris Rouse Cook, 92, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab following an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM., Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St., in Vinton, with Rev. John Caughron of the First Christian Church in Center Point officiating. Interment will be held at the Urbana Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 7 PM on Friday. A Memorial Fund has been established. Deloris was born June 25, 1917 near Urbana to John and Dolly (Evans) Rouse. On November 2, 1935 she married Harold "Hi" Cook at Independence. The couple farmed in the Urbana/Center Point area until their retirement in 1994 when they moved to Urbana. "Hi" preceded his wife in death on June 2, 2001. Deloris was a member of the Urbana Christian Church and C.W.F of her congregation, the KUB Club, and the Urbana Memorial Cemetery Association. She volunteered at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab for many years. Her greatest joy in life came from her role as an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Walter (Eleanor) Cook of Walker; her daughters, Reita Cook of Urbana, and Leita (Bob) Duello of Brandon; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Paula Cook; her brothers, Ted, Laverne, Pete, Elmer, R.D. and Henry Rouse; and her sisters, Mae Comstock, Leta Fulmer, Rita Scott, Florence Johnson, Mary Franks, Genevieve Hepker, Georgia Rouse, Gladys Rambo, and Fern Wayson. .Phillips funeral home
