She had been in in failing health for three years. She was born Gladys Lorraine Rouse, July 3, 1901, near Brandon. She was one of 16 children, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs John E. Rouse She married Carl Rambo at Vinton April 5, 1926. They lived near Vinton, all their married life. She came to Benton county 40 years ago. The couple moved into their present home in 1930. She had been in in failing health for three years. She was born Gladys Lorraine Rouse, July 3, 1901, near Brandon. She was one of 16 children, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs John E. Rouse She married Carl Rambo at Vinton April 5, 1926. They lived near Vinton, all their married life. She came to Benton county 40 years ago. The couple moved into their present home in 1930. She was a member of the Foursquare church. Surviving are her husband, a son Carl A. and a daughter, Patty Ann, at home, her father, John E. Rouse of Vinton, eight sisters, Mrs Clifford Comstock of Waterloo; Mrs. Alvin Johnson of GlenEllyn, Ill., Mrs Mearl Wayson, Mrs. Joe Fulmer and Mrs. Kenneth Scott of Vinton; Mrs. Harold Cook of Palo, Mrs Ella Hepker of Center Point; Mrs. Elmer Franks of Vinton and four brothers, Elmer Rouse of Marion; Laverne Rouse of Vinton. Theodore Rouse of California and R. D.Rouse of Vinton A daughter, Betty Lou died in infancy. Two brothers and a sister also preceded her in death. Burial will be in the Urbana cemetery.
