Casket bearers were Denis Barth, Tim Lynch, Ernie Thompson, Don Symonds, Dave Luhman and Brian Furey. Burial was at Phelps Cemetery. Deloris Rosella (Barth) Breeser was born Sept. 12, 1929, in Decorah the daughter of Michael and Clara (Barth) Barth. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Locust. She attended country school near Dorchester. On April 7, 1954, she was united in marriage with Edward Breeser in Caledonia, Minn. Deloris was caretaker at Phelps Cemetery for about 25 years. Survivors include three sons, Roland and Leland of Decorah, and Kevin of Ridgeway; two daughters, Julie Jackson of Seattle, Wash., and Janice Brincks of Postville; five grandchildren; one brother, Floyd Earth of New Albin; and two sisters, Lorena Ellingson of Decorah and Violet Day of Des Moines. Deloris Breeser was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward, who died Aug. 30, 1998; two sons, Cletus and Rodney in infancy; four brothers, Oliver, Earl, Telford and Orlando Barth; and five sisters, Iowa Riley, Melba Brown, Doris Gulrud, Vera Dinger and Elsie Hanson.
