While the membership of the deceased was with the Parr Memorial church, he had been an adherent and supporter of the Methodist faith for thirty-five years. The deceased was born at Lawrenceport, Ind., June 2, 1853 and came to Kokomo in 1881. He was united in marriage with Hattie M. Smith March 29, 1888. Surviving are the widow, and a daughter, Mrs. [Helen L Kidder] C. E. Shearer, besides two grandchildren Charles Jr. and Norma Jean Shearer, also a brother, H. G.
