Description	:	Mrs. Hattie May Kidder, 89, widow of [Demetrius] Clark Kidder, Died at 2 a.m. Wednesday [July 27, 1955] at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles [Edward & Helen L Kidder] Shearer, 1427 S. Courtland Ave., where she made her home. Mrs. Kidder fell last November breaking a hip, but had recovered sufficiently to get about with a walker. The end came suddenly. The deceased was a lifelong resident of this county. She was born in Alto, the daughter of George [A] and Elizabeth [Isabella M Morrison] Smith. Following her marriage she and Mrs. Kidder lived in North Kokomo. Since his death in [October 3,] 1929, she had made her home with her daughter. Surviving with Mrs. Shearer are two grandchildren. Charles E. [Edward] Shearer Jr., Shelbyville, Ind. and Mrs. Forest Bradford of Marion. There are three great grandchildren. One brother, George C. [Clark] Smith, Enid, Okla., survives and there are several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kidder was a charter member of Beamer Methodist Church. Since moving to South Kokomo she has attended Courtland Avenue Friends Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday [July 29, 1955] at the Jacobs Funeral Home with the Rev. Everett Nixon officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Thursday.
