Description	:	Obituary: Dena Caspers, daughter of John and Trenje Schmidt Caspers, was born southwest of Johnson on Dec. 21, 1886, one of 4 children. She attended school at the Speckmann rural school. In 1906 she was united in marriage with John Knippelmeir, three children, David, Frieda and Rudolph, were born to this union. Read More	Obituary: Dena Caspers, daughter of John and Trenje Schmidt Caspers, was born southwest of Johnson on Dec. 21, 1886, one of 4 children. She attended school at the Speckmann rural school. In 1906 she was united in marriage with John Knippelmeir, three children, David, Frieda and Rudolph, were born to this union. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Knippelmier made their home on a farm southwest of Johnson, until 1907, moving to Minco, OK. In 1945, they moved back to Johnson, NE. After returning to Johnson, she joined the Zion Lutheran Church where she has been a member for 15 years. Her husband preceded her in death in April of 1958. She had been in failing health for the past 2 years, entering the Johnson County Hospitl on July6. It was here that she passed away, July 10, having reached the age of 76 years, 6 months and 19 days. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and one son who died in 1945. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Frieda Speckmann of Elk Creek; one son Rudolph Knippelmier of Auburn; one brother, George Caspers of Elk Creek; one sister, Mrs. John Reutter of Sterling; three grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Services were conducted by Rev. F.K. Kumpf at the Zion Lutheran Church on July 13. Casket berers were: Edwin Blinde, Ivan Reutter, Ivan Behrends, John Caspers, LaVern Speckmann and Stanley Knippelmier. Pat Knippelmeir and Mrs. LaVern Speckmann assisted with flowers. Music was provided by Gerald Lincoln Hahn, soloist, and Mrs. Ella Woerlen, organist. Burial was at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, with Caseys in charge of arrangements.
